Middle Tennessee Industrial Development Association (MTIDA)
The Middle Tennessee Industrial Development Association is an economic development agency funded by the Electric Cooperative, Municipal Electric, and Natural Gas Distributors serving Middle Tennessee. Guided by a board of directors, MTIDA represents and promotes industrial development in 40 Middle Tennessee counties, stretching from the Kentucky border to the Alabama state line. They provide plant location services in cooperation with the State of Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and Tennessee Valley Authority and maintain continuous contact with local chambers of commerce, railroad industrial development departments, realtors, banks, and industrial development boards that serve this area. Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association (TECA)
The Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association is a trade association established to serve the needs of Tennessee’s electric cooperatives. The association represents 23 individual power distributors including Tennessee’s 22 electric cooperatives and one municipal system. The Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association exists to provide leadership, advocacy and support to unify and empower Tennessee’s consumer-owned electric co-ops. Tennessee Municipal Electric Power Association (TMEPA)
The Tennessee Municipal Electric Power Association is a membership association comprised of 60 municipal and county electric power providers that serve over 2.4 million homes and businesses across Tennessee. The Tennessee Valley Public Power Association is a nonprofit, regional service organization that represents the interests of consumer-owned electric utilities operating within the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) service area. TVPPA members include both municipal and electric cooperatives, and they serve more than 9 million people in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina and Virginia.
