Annual Crime Statistics for the City of Springfield
The Springfield Police Department voluntarily reports major crimes committed within the City to the Federal Bureau of Investigation through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. This report is known as the Uniform Crime Report (UCR), and the link to the most recent annual report is available at: FBI Crime Report. This statistical information provides the basis for a comparison of all participating agencies with respect to their reported crimes and the incidents they resolve.
The Springfield Police Department also reports to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation through the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting system. The most recent annual report can be accessed at TBI Reports.
The most recent crime information can be viewed in a GIS mapping program at: Crimereports.com The data for this mapping program is update daily, and it provides the addresses of sex offenders in addition to the crime data. The website is fairly easy to navigate.
