Annexation and Rezone on Dorris Street

  • The Planning Commission (PC) is scheduled to discuss and take possible action on the Dorris Street Annexation and Rezone request on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 5:00 P.M.  Proceeding the (PC) meeting, the request will be heard by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. for the first reading, followed by public hearing and final reading on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.  The meetings will take place in the board room at City Hall. Supporting documentation can be viewed in the Community Development Department. The public is invited to attend.

Public Hearing for Annexation and Plan of Service

  • Pedro Reyes and Brenda Swann have petitioned the City of Springfield for annexation of property, located at Dorris Street and referenced as Tax Map 080L, Group A, Parcels 018.00, 019.00, 020.00, 021.00, 022.00. A public hearing on this annexation and plan of service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Springfield Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. The map below shows the proposed area of annexation. The proposed amendment to include annexing a portion of Dorris Street, Pitt Avenue and Poplar Avenue roadways that are adjacent to parcels 018.00 – 022.00 and the roadway portion of Poplar Avenue from Dorris Street to Spruce Street. The plan of service and resolution for annexation can be reviewed at the Robertson County Office Building on South Brown Street, Stokes Brown Library on 5th Avenue West, Springfield City Hall, and on the city’s website at www.springfieldtn.gov.  For further information contact the Springfield Community Development Department at 615-382-2200.

Amendment to the City of Springfield Zoning Ordinance

  • The Planning Commission (PC) is scheduled to discuss and take possible action to amend Chapter 10 of the City of Springfield Zoning Ordinance to establish a Specific Planned District on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. Proceeding the (PC) meeting, the request will be heard by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. for the first reading, followed by public hearing and final reading on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. The meetings will take place in the board room at City Hall. Supporting documentation can be viewed in the Community Development Department. The public is invited to attend.
