Water Treatment Plant Pump Station Upgrade

The current pump station serving Springfield's service area is approaching 30 years of age. The city plans to build a new pump station to replace the outdated system. This new facility will feature cutting-edge technology, ensuring a more efficient and dependable service.

Project Status: 

Workers are currently forming and pouring the concrete foundation for the new one-million-gallon underground storage tank.

Start: November 29, 2023

Estimated completion: September 2025 (Estimated)

Estimated Cost: $10,640,000 

Funding Source: Local Funding

Contractor: J. Cumby Construction, Inc.
