Contractors working for the City of Springfield will begin roadwork improvements on Mooreland Drive starting this week. Milling will occur on Tuesday, August 27, and Wednesday, August 28. Paving is scheduled to begin on Friday, August 30, and continue Tuesday, September 3, and Wednesday, September 4.
Traffic control will be present while work is in progress, with single lane closures. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes. To minimize disruptions on Memorial Boulevard during peak traffic hours, work will begin each day near 22nd Avenue. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling in the area.
