Hazardous Waste Prohibited

It is unlawful to dispose of hazardous waste items through the city sanitation collection system. Hazardous waste is any chemical, corrosive, flammable, reactive, solvent or toxic product that poses potential threats to public health or to the environment.  If hazardous waste is found in your city owned trash cart the cart will not be collected until the waste has been removed.

  • Commercial or Industrial Waste
  • Dead Animals
  • Home Maintenance/Improvement Materials
  • Household Cleaners
  • Infectious Waste
  • Intact Drums &/Or Cylinders
  • Lawn & Garden Products
  • Medical/Biological Waste
  • Needles/Sharps
  • Oil
  • Paint
  • Pesticides
  • Red Bag Medical Waste
  • Vehicle Parts
